Welcome! You are cordially invited to participate in the 25th Nordic Insulation Symposium on Materials, Components and Diagnostics (NORD-IS 17),which will be held in Västerås, Sweden, Monday 19th to Wednesday 21st of June, 2017.


Call for Papers

Submitted abstracts and papers undergo a review process. Accepted papers will be included in the proceedings of NORD-IS 17, and made available in an open-access database. Presentation at the Symposium will be either oral or by poster: this choice will be agreed with the authors between the acceptance of abstract and submission of complete paper.

The abstract deadline was 16th January. However, the date now chosen for selection means that abstracts submitted up to 31st January can be considered.
The template nordis_abstract.docx can be used; completed files should be submitted by email to NordIS2017@ee.kth.se. (Other formats such as pdf or text are acceptable: in any case, please include name, affiliation, contact-email, preference for oral/poster presentation, and up to 400 words of abstract.)


Scope and Audience

Papers at the Symposium present results of recent activities on all topics within its scope, which includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

The Symposium provides an opportunity for researchers, PhD students and engineers working at research institutes, academia, power industry and power utilities to meet, exchange ideas, research results and practical experience on insulating materials, components, models and diagnostic methods, besides related topics such as apparatus and measurement techniques.

The Symposium language is English. Participants from within and beyond the Nordic countries are welcome. PhD students and young engineers are particularly encouraged to present their work.

Registration

Registration will be open on or before the abstract-submission deadline (January 2017).

You are encouraged to subscribe to email notifications already, in order to receive reminders of deadlines and news of open registration.


Venue

NORD-IS 17 will be held at the Aros Congress Center at Munkgatan 7, Västerås, close to the central railway station.


Hotel

Accommodation suggestions will be given at the time when registration opens.
