Project abstract

In previous research, the most recurrent problem is the lack of data for distribution networks. The problem mainly stems from two reasons related to market dynamics and data acquisition. The project will be focused on improving system-level asset management strategies, including maintenance and operation, based on data management schemes. Data management schemes will be studied and developed in relation to risk-consequence analysis, system reliability, and power adequacy

Summary of work

2018. (Ongoing into 2019.) Literature review of related topics. Study of the cost impact of faulty data on asset management optimization. Development of a quantitative data-driven framework for DLR application on ACSR overhead lines with considerations to financial and reliability aspects.

2019-2020. Study of the impact of asset data quality on maintenance planning and system reliability. Method development of randomizing data errors and component failures, as well as, solving a maintenance cost minimization problem.
