Project abstract

This project aim is new alloys for permanent magnets without rare earth metals. Work is going in the border area between chemistry, physics and materials theory. The most important task is the synthesis and characterizations of new magnetic materials for application as permanent magnets.


Summary of work

2018. Synthesis of the t-MnAlC phase with different dopings has been made for the improvement of the magnetic properties. Preliminary searching of new magnetic materials has been done. Preparation of the special setup for the synthesis of L10-FeNi compound.

2019. Heat treatment and ball milling of the t-MnAlC phase with different dopants has been made for the improvement of the magnetic properties. Synthesis of the Ce-M-Mn (M = Fe, Co, Ni) alloys has been done with respect to the searching of new magnetic materials. Synthesis trials of L10-FeNi compound.

2020. Synthesis of the t-MnAlC phase with different dopings has been made for the improvement of the magnetic properties. Synthesis of the new magnetic materials has been done on the demand of theory group. Neutron measurements for MnAlCX and Ce-Fe-Mn alloys have been performed.
